The booking was an interior restoration on a Maserati. The engine bay was added almost as an afterthought — curious rather than concerned.
The hood had not been up in years. Dust lay over everything in the even grey that comes from time rather than weeks, leaves had broken down in the cowl, and the badge on the engine cover had gone dull underneath it. Nothing was wrong with it. It had simply never been looked after.
An engine bay is no place to rush, and no place for a pressure washer — there is wiring and there are electronics that do not forgive a heavy hand. So it was done by hand: cover what needs covering, lift the dust with soft brushes before anything wet comes near it, then clean each surface on its own terms until the real colours come back.
A few hours later the covers were matte again rather than shiny, and the badge read clearly. At the walkthrough the interior was what had been expected. The engine bay was the part he stood over a little longer, surprised by a corner of his own car.
This is cosmetic work, not mechanical. An engine bay detail cleans and dresses what you can see; it does not repair or service anything under the hood, and it will not make an engine run differently.

A hand wash, wheel & tire detail, headlight restoration, or engine bay clean can ride along with any service, priced in the open. We don’t take on paint correction, ceramic coating, or anything applied over the paint — for that, a dedicated exterior shop is the right call.
